I attended Power Memorial Academy HS in NY. I played basketball at the Varsity level for 3 years. I then attended LaGuardia Community College for 2 years, transfering to Long Island University for 3 years and graduating with a BA in Communication/People Economics. I played basketball for every credible league in and the around NYS and the Jersey Shore from 1983-2002. When I retired from the hardwood,.I excelled on the bench. Leading recreational teams to back to back titles in the CYO league, 1998-2000. I've coached in the PAL (Police Athletic League) LESTA (Lower Eastside Tournament Association), West 4th Street Classics, and the famous Holcombe Rutgers from 2000-2006. In 2005 I founded a league named the Rockaway Beach Youth Club League, where Team Guru was first formed. We've traveled near and far conquesting any and all challengers willing to part with their finances. Boston, Ma., Philadelphia, Pa., Norfolk, Va., New Castle, De., and of course New York. I also gave 2 years of coaching to the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA), 2006-2008. I learned that the kids from this curcuit are usually best suited for what I'm trying to accomplish as a coach. That is coach serious, dedicated ballplayers who understand that IQ will beat out athleticism 8 out of 10 times. My coaching experience at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School was very influential, as well as instrumental in developing my unique coaching style. I am very good at what I do...to put it plain and simple....I WIN,...and so do my players!!
