  • National Badminton League League Profile
    National Badminton League
    Atlanta, GA
National Badminton League (NBL) has divided the US and Canada into ten regions. Each region is comprised of two or more states/provinces. Each state or province has two or more districts, which is usually a city or area of a state or province. Within each district league, teams play weekly home and away matches during two seasons: Spring (January through June) and Fall (July through December). Single-gender and mixed leagues for adults and juniors are offered at the A, B, C and D playing levels. Winners of local (district) leagues advance to State/Province Playoffs, Regional Championship and ultimately the NBL Championships. Anyone can be a team captain and form a team; a minimum of three players (same gender) are required for the spring season, and a minimum of two males and two females are required for the fall season. Teams will choose where they want to play their home matches, and only one or two courts are required. Home teams have the choice of four exciting formats! Players and teams may post and search ads on the NBL League Finder page. League fee is only $16.00. For more information, visit www.playNBL.com

    Georgia State Games
    Kennesaw, GA
The Georgia Games holds championships in 40+ sports for amateur athletes at all age levels. In the late 1980's, the state of Georgia and the city of Atlanta decided to bid upon the 1996 Olympics. A lack of education concerning the positive attributes of physical fitness and health existed in Georgia at that time. The Georgia Games Amateur Olympic Sports Festival was formed to assist in addressing this problem. Since 1990, the Georgia Games, a program of the Georgia Sports Foundation, has been educating Georgians about the benefits of physical fitness and sports.
